Carson Bates and Michael Burns Fundraiser

Early on the morning of September 15, our two close friends Mike Burns and Carson Bates were struck by a vehicle while on foot outside Pub II. They were both left in critical condition and airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. First responders were on the scene quickly but the situation is still serious.

Mike and Carson, both from Plainfield, IL, have been Illinois State students for four years and have made life on campus better for all who have the pleasure of knowing them.

Due to the extent of treatment required, both families will be dealing with significant medical expenses. We believe anyone who wants to support our friends’ recovery should have an outlet to do so and for that reason, we have created this GoFundMe. Any bit helps.

All proceeds will be given directly to the two families for medical bills, hotel fees, travel costs, and any other expenses incurred. We want to see our friends come home, and supporting their families is what matters most to us right now. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
