In Memory of Carter Jae Rose
Baby Carter Jae Rose was born on December 6, 2020 to Ashley Terry, with a defect that affects the normal blood flow through the heart called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). In her short time with family, community and team of doctors and nurses, Carter Jae Rose was a source of joy, strength and resilience. Her bright eyes and beautiful smile captured the hearts of all she encountered. For 5 of the 6 months of her short life she was hospitalized. She had 7 surgeries over the last 5 months to increase blood flow to her body and bypass the ill functioning left side of her heart. After each surgery she tirelessly fought to hang on. However, it is with a heavy heart that Carter Jae Rose passed away today (June 30, 2021) peacefully in her mothers arms at 6 months old from HLHS. Carter Jae Rose will be forever loved and never forgotten.
Carter Jae Rose will be greatly missed by her three sisters: Meiya, Madyson and Thailar-Skye.
