Carver Family Tragedy

My name is Remington Austin, I am the nephew of David and Lorene Carver of Linville Falls, NC. Last Friday, September 27th, the devastating flood made its way to Western North Carolina where David and Lorene resided.

On Friday morning tragedy struck the Carver family. David’s house was taken by a landslide. David survived in the debris for hours until he went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Saturday morning.

David’s family is left in complete loss from losing their husband, father, father in law, grandfather, and son. His wife, Lorene, is in the midst of basically restarting life. Along with the loss of his house, his son (wife, Deidre, and two children) lost their home as well. To say this family has faced complete and utter devastation would be an understatement.

As David was spending his last hours on earth he was using it as a time to witness to people and pray that God would bless them in their life. David’s spent his life serving God through the church as a deacon, singing with his family, and spending each day as an opportunity to show the love of Christ to everyone he met. David’s desire would be that everyone would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

We have started this fundraiser in hopes that while the Carver family is grieving that these funds can help assist with any financial needs they may have.
