Court Appointed Special Advocates
Donation protected
For the past 25 years, Kappa Alpha Theta has aligned with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) to positively impact the lives of foster children. 1,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect daily, and four of them will die. CASA is based in nearly 1,000 communities in the United States. Organizers recruit, train and support citizen volunteers who form strong bonds with the foster children and represent their best interests in the courtroom and the community. Volunteer advocates offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while navigating through the court system. Volunteers remain active sponsors of the children until they are placed in loving, permanent homes. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer is the only constant adult presence in their lives. Please support this important cause and contribute today! Any amount will make a positive difference in a child's life.
