Cascata Falls HOA Emergency Snow Plow Fund
Donation protected
Hello, Cascata Falls Neighbors! The winter storm warning forecast for this weekend (Feb 13-15, 2021) has the potential to leave us blanketed under a very thick layer of snowfall, maybe as much as 6-12 inches. If we actually get that much snow, it will leave several hundred of us stranded in the neighborhood with impassable roads, and temperatures are not expected to get above freezing until Friday, Feb 19th. Our neighborhood roads are private roads, and there will be no snow plow from Logan County or the City of Edmond to help us clear our streets. While many of us can hunker down and wait out that kind of storm, we are concerned for our neighbors who are essential workers in healthcare and emergency services who must be able to get in and out of the neighborhood. We are also concerned if one of you would need the services of a firetruck or ambulance or emergency vehicle. For this reason, the board has made the decision to reserve the services of a snow plow company to stand by in the event that they are needed to clear our roads and streets. Here are some important reminders about this situation:
· This is an exception to normal practice, and the HOA is not responsible to provide clearance to roads in other, less-severe weather situations.
· Each individual homeowner is responsible for clearing your own driveways and sidewalks.
· The cost of this service will take the balance of our operating funds below our desired reserve level, and could cause delays to some planned spring projects.
If you are in a position to donate money specifically to this one-time snow-plowing service, this would be a big help to the HOA budget.
