Casey Jones Railroad Museum Updates

If you have visited our museum since we opened in 1998 you have seen many interesting items on display. What you haven't been able to see is the vast amount of material we have in our filing cabinets. Everything from historical documents to photos, physical items and much, much more.

The biggest obstacle to displaying more was the amount of space we have. Technology has advanced since we opened, and we now have plans to use that to our advantage here at the museum! Two years ago, we decided that updates to the museum were necessary and began Phase 1 of that process. This included a complete update plan and to digitally back up everything that we have on file.

Phase 1 has been completed and we are now 99% digitally backed and have the foundation for the next phase of a very exciting update. We received a grant through the Main Street Association in Water Valley to secure funds for the update, but in order to receive the funds we have to raise a certain amount of money and match what has been pledged to us.

So, with that being said our fund-raising phase has begun. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Help us preserve and display our rich railroad history of central and north Mississippi. Thank you for your support and donations!
