This week we said goodbye to OUSD employee, Casey Malauulu. As a native of Oceanside, Casey grew up an OUSD student, attending Del Rio Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High, and El Camino High School. Casey participated in many clubs and sports, including ASB, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Choir, Football, Basketball, Wrestling, and Baseball. He often succeeded and remained humble throughout, inspiring many along the way.

After 2 years of serving as an LDS missionary, Casey continued his football journey at Palomar College and the University of Wisconsin Superior before returning to multiple OUSD sites as a Campus Security and Athletic Coach for many years.

Casey is survived by his wife and high-school sweetheart, Janet Malauulu, and their 7 children, Casey Jr(CJ), Quincey, Kameron, Kenidy, Camille, Connor, and Carter, all former OUSD students. Casey has 7 grandchildren with the eldest being an OUSD 1st grader.

Celebration of life will be on October 21, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3990 Mesa Dr., Oceanside). Open viewing at 11:30 AM, service at 12:30 PM. The burial will be at Eternal Hills at 2:30 PM with a reception at 3:30 PM.
