My name is Casey Eichfeld. Canoe slalom, a sport filled with soul and excitement, has been my home for 26 years. I have followed it through my state, across the Unites States, and around the world. I have represented Team USA in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, and soon the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Olympic GOLD started as a young boy's dream, and has become this athlete's goal. Destined to love an obscure sport, fundraising is a large part of chasing the Olympics. Support funds training and racing expenses. These expenses include travel, room, board, and equipment costs.

Olympic GOLD remains my dream, and it is a journey that I have paddled tirelessly. Your support is invaluable encouragement to always do my best in sport and in life. I can't speak of the future, but I'll share with you what I wake up thinking each morning...

Canoe Slalom - In simplest terms, it is a sport of speed. The raging rapids between START and FINISH line are filled with a series of 18-25 sequentially staggered gates hung from wires across the river. Six red and white striped gates are known as "upstreams," and are negotiated by paddling upstream through them. The remaining gates are "downstream" gates. They are negotiated by paddling downstream through them, and are green and white striped. A 2 second penalty is incurred by touching a gate. A 50 second penalty is incurred by missing or negotiating the gate in the wrong direction. The fastest total time takes home GOLD!
