Casey's Conquering Cancer
Donation protected
In March of this year, our very own Casey Hoff was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Since then, life has been a rollercoaster of emotions, new information, and doctor visits. Casey’s prognosis is excellent and her community of champions and, most importantly, her team of oncologists, are extremely optimistic that she will crush this cancer.
Breast cancer is a leading cause of death for U.S. women, exceeded only by heart disease, according to the American Society of Clinical Oncology. However, the survival rate is 90%, if treated early and properly.
Her treatment plan has been arduous but a swift and efficient journey. Her 6 rounds of chemo were completed last week (yay!). But now, up next is surgery, radiation, additional IV infusions, and then, finally, daily pills for maintenance. The treatment plan has been aggressive and effective so far, and Casey is hopeful she will remain in front of the disease for the remainder of this journey. The physical toll has been heavy; however, her spirits have remained high, and she has fully embraced the bald (AKA sexy potato) look this summer.
Her husband Reilly has been an amazing partner, taking care of their 1-year-old son, Elton, Casey, their family home, and his own work. As one of the over 2.26 million new breast cancer cases diagnosed in women in 2022, Casey and her family have mobilized every resource to fight this devasting disease.
Friends, family, and colleagues - we invite you to contribute to Casey’s medical bills by donating today and reducing Casey and Reilly’s burden in alleviating some of the financial strain their family is under due to the medical costs of Casey’s treatment.
