Cash Family Adoption

Hi, my name is Sam Cash and my husband, Brett, and I are growing our family through adoption. Early on in our relationship it was very clear that we both had a heart and desire to adopt our future children for several reasons that I won’t go into large detail about here (if you’re curious we’d love to discuss them). Our reasons revolve around health concerns for myself, feeling compelled to provide a loving home to children who might not otherwise experience it, and as a way to express our faith in God, who has woven adoption into the lineage of Jesus and our own salvation. As exciting as this new journey is, choosing to adopt can also be very unpredictable and honestly quite expensive. We feel confident we are on the right path for family expansion, but we definitely do not want to do this alone… That’s where you come in. We are humbly asking for HELP through encouragement, prayers, and yes.. Money (if you feel so lead).

The average adoption in the US is around $50,000-$55,000. No, that is not a typo. This amount covers things like adoption placement fees, home studies, legal preparation and representation, travel expenses, etc. The final total varies by state and with each individual case, but AdoptHelp, the agency we are working with, has advised us to plan with that number in mind. Payments are made in various installments as specific expenses come up, so we can move through the beginning steps of adoption well before gathering the full 50k. We have some savings set aside and my company provides some financial adoption assistance (which we are incredibly grateful for) but that still leaves us shy of that all in-number.
