Cure Casper of Feline Infectious Peritonitis

Hi, my name is John. Me and my partner have a 12 year old Ragdoll Casper who was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis back in March. This was once sadly a fatal disease in cats but in the last couple of years a new treatment has become available with an over 80% cure rate. The medication is extremely expensive at over £40 a tablet and we are currently giving 2 1/2 tablets a day on vet advice. Unfortunately our insurance company will not cover as they say it is linked to a previous illness of pancreatitis so we are looking for support from fellow cat lovers to help us with the cost of Caspers treatment. The treatment is usually for 12 weeks, but we have now been advised this needs to be extended and switched to another form of the oral medication so Casper ingests the medication better through his digestive system. We have already spent thousands of pounds on the treatment for Casper with no support from the insurance company. The treatment as well as the expensive medication also involves regular blood tests and scans. Any support is appreciated no matter how big or small. With an over 80% cure rate for this once fatal disease we do hope our FIP warrior Casper makes a full recovery.
