Cass & family

Sometimes it's the good people that suffer the most. And that is what this is about. One of the good ones. Those that know Cass know her heart, her courage, her strength & her love for her friends & family. Below is her story & my reason for doing something to help a friend in need.

"My name is Cassie.
I was originally diagnosed with Cervical Cancer December 2019, Easter 2020 I had a hysterectomy and 5 weeks of radiation. I had almost 6 months off of work due to a horrible recovery. Beginning of 2022, I knew something was wrong so went for another scan and they found that the cancer had grown back on the interior wall. This resulted in a bladder removal so I have a permanent urostomy bag and vagina removal and reconstruction which took muscle and tissue from my leg. An 8 hour surgery became 12 hours, 4 bags of blood and again another lengthy recovery. Unable to use my left leg properly and suffering from lymphoedema leaving numbness due to nerve damage. Less that 6 months later, again, I knew something was wrong. I was right. More scans done and it was confirmed the cancer had grown back in my lymph nodes, pelvis and pubic bone. This time they were unable to operate and after 6 weeks of Chemotherapy and radiation I was told the tumours did not shrink. This week I was informed from another scan that the tumours still haven’t shrunk and I now have arthritis in my lower spine. I am classed as terminal and under the care of Palliative Care now.
Everyday I am in pain. I’ve had to cut down in work as my body cannot handle too much.
My medication costs us over $100 a month and my wage has halved. We are relying on family and friends to help with meals and support when days are really bad. I’m very lucky to have a good support team and friends like Tammy."

Cass has 2 beautiful young kids & a devoted husband that are there for what ever she needs and goes through.
I know times are tough for a lot of people right now but anything would be so much appreciated. So please do what you can and say farewell to my locks xxxx
