Cass Harris' New Album "Blue Sky"

Hey, I'm Cass and I'm excited to announce the recording of my next record! We're calling it "Blue Sky" and will begin tracking in late June at the amazing Haxton Road Studios. So much has happened over the 11 years since releasing my previous album. I’ve ended up with a diverse group of songs that capture the journey of moving, kids growing up, building a house, shoulder surgery, working hard to stay married, and taking a hard look at my emotional health.

Many of these songs were not written for other people to listen to. I just needed a way to process what I was experiencing. But as I shared them with close friends, parts of my story that I wanted to stay hidden found a way out. I slowly began to feel unburdened as I realized that I could find deep connections with others through allowing my stories to be heard. I want more people to realize that they are not alone.

I decided to do this entire project with people that are close to me that I cherish. From the band, to the studio, to the visual artists, to the sound engineers, they are all friends. I would love for you to join us too!

Will you consider funding this project?

Here’s a list of our needs:

Tracking - We set up and record every song all together as a band.

Mixing - We take all the tracks and adjust them so they all sound great together. It’s the most tedious part of the process and takes a lot of repetition: mixing, listening, critiquing, remixing, critiquing again, etc, etc, etc, until we like what we hear.

Mastering - This is the most technical step in the process. It’s like putting a filter on a picture you’ve taken; you don’t change the picture but it’s enhanced and can bring out the best parts of the image.

Pressing Vinyl - We’re going to make hard copies of the record!

Digital Distribution - The album will be released on all the major streaming services.

This Fundraiser - GoFundMe takes a cut of the profits of this campaign.

Marketing - The good people at GoRogueX shot and edited the video linked above and are getting the word out about the campaign.

When we raise the full amount, I’m going to host an exclusive Album Release concert inside Haxton Road Studios!!I’ll be playing every song on the new record and telling stories about how they were written. How would one get a ticket to such a ridiculously cool event? The first 50 people to give $150 or more will get a ticket to the exclusive concert, and a vinyl copy of the album. Pretty sweet, huh?
