Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit this fundraising page!

My name is Sarah Ontiveros, some of you know me from school, some of you through mutual friends, and some of you know or are my family. Hi mom! I have been on a path to filmmaking for a few years now. If you know me well, you know my first love is photography! I've since expanded and have taken to cinema like a moth to flame. It's lit a fire I wish never extinguishes, but all journeys start slow and sometimes without the means to get there. This is why I've created this fundraiser.

I was urged to participate in the 2023 CineSpace competition (see here) by a dear film friend, knowing my affinity for NASA and all things sci-fi related. I've had an outpour of support from local filmmakers and I've secured locations that I'm still pinching myself about.

I would never dream of starting a production without funding but the immense support I've received has brought me to this point. I am incredibly proud of this short story about a girl on another planet yearning for home. She and her AI companion have made my heart full and simultaneously broken it and I can only hope I get to share their story with you all.

All the money raised here will go directly to pre and post-production costs and compensating the wonderful talent I bring on board (pun intended).
