Cassandra Centre Christmas Lunch
Donation protected
We are a Domestic Violence charity based in SW London; we support those who have faced domestic abuse. Alongside this, one of our projects is that we provide an over 50 Lunch club for vulnerable community members aged 50 - 102, living in different parts of Croydon borough. It runs fortnightly for 3 hours and provides a hot 2-course meal. The main aims of this project are to prevent isolation and encourage socialisation. Several speakers and topics have been covered over the year, including workshops on health, how to protect yourself from fraud, and signposting to other organisations. We encourage our members to be part of our light exercise and brain training games, such as general quizzes and Bingo.
We are asking for help to contribute to our annual Christmas Dinner; with the cost of living continuously rising and the cost of rentals, securing the event to its full potential isn't proving easy. We are not funded for this project and rely on donations to continue.
The money raised will ensure our members enjoy a 3-course meal with all the trimmings, entertainment, opportunities to win prizes, and a Christmas dinner and evening to remember. This is some of our members' only Christmas celebration they will have.
