Cassell Family Recovery Fund
At 10:30PM on August 18th, 2018, B Scott Cassell and his son, Bryce, were driving on the freeway near Antioch, CA. Without warning, a 1997 pickup truck, being driven the wrong way on the freeway, slammed head-on into their mini-van at freeway speeds. The driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of being intoxicated.
B Scott and Bryce both sustained extremely serious injuries. Only by the Grace of God did they even survive. As I'm writing this, the situation is changing almost by the minute. With their privacy in mind, I'm not going to detail all of the specific injuries that they've sustained. One look at this photo of their van should help paint the picture of that moment of horrific terror when the two vehicles collided at freeway speeds.
B Scott and Bryce are fighters and they are both receiving the very best care available. But, the road to recovery is going to be very long and extremely difficult. It will be years before they are able to lock the memories of this event away in the dark recesses of their minds.
It is in times of extreme crisis that the "pay it forward" concept reverberates in our minds. The Cassell family has ALWAYS been there for their friends and family. Now it is their turn to receive OUR help. We need to rally around them with love and support.
We are raising money to help sustain this family through the months, and possibly years, ahead as B Scott and Bryce heal and rehabilitate from this trauma. It's impossible to predict exactly what this family will be facing, but the one thing we can all do is to help keep the financial burdens from crushing their spirits. Please give what you can and stay tuned to this page for updates. Thank you and GOD BLESS!!
