Cassidy, Alex and their sweet daughter
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Davie Corrado, and I am fundraising for a wonderful family. On September 19th Cassidy suffered a severe injury while working with a skill saw. While making a cut he’s made a thousand times before, the saw kicked back and cut into his left thumb, nearly severing it off completely. He severed the tendon completely and sawed through his joint bones. The impact also fractured the thumb bones in two different places as well.
He underwent surgery the next day, where they repaired the tendons and wired the bones back together. He has three pins in his thumb and has to keep it immobilized for over a month.
We are incredibly grateful that they were able to save his thumb.
The accident was severe and traumatic, leaving them in financial hardship.
Cassidy has always worked incredibly hard to provide for his family, while Alex has been working as a stay-at-home mom, raising Adara and taking care of their home.
Cassidy and Alex are incredibly humble people, so this is a very challenging request to have to reach out and ask their community of family and friends for help.
We are overly aware that the people of our world are hurting and that everyone is in need. If you cannot donate, THAT IS PERFECTLY OKAY, we ask that you pray and send good vibes that Cassidy’s thumb heals correctly.
Your thumbs are the most critical fingers on your hands. Due to Cassidy’s severe injury, there’s a possibility that his mobility and function may not be the same; however, we are hoping and praying for the absolute best outcome possible for his thumb.
Unfortunately, Cassidy is not eligible for disability or unemployment currently. Once Cassidy is out of the cast and can help with Adara, Alex will hopefully be able to find a temporary job around November. It is only temporary until Cassidy is well enough to find full-time work in a separate field, as he hopes not to be working in construction again.
Until then, they need financial support to help get them through the next few months. They are overwhelmed with all the love, support and prayers they have gotten thus far.
They would not be able to do this without their community of loved ones. We thank you for your generosity and care; it truly goes beyond measure.
May all of your prayers and well wishes come true.
Thank you all so much.
