Help Our Friend Cassidy Lee Gebhardt

Donation protected
Cassidy (or Cass to those that know him) is well-known amongst many communities in Colorado and across the nation. Within each, he has always put others before himself - whether he's known a person for years or for hours.

From spending his time teaching self-defense and self-discipline through Colorado Libre, to assisting in training with Ed Calderon of @edsmanifesto, and collaborating with local groups like Moses of Holymountain Colorado and the @kopisdesigns crew, Cassidy is always there, no matter what is needed. The art he creates through his own business @intraguildrapaxcraftworks shows his passion for the things he believes in. When you meet Cass, you quickly learn that any time day or night, he is a constant support and resource to so many people not only in Colorado, but anywhere he goes. No matter what is needed, Cassidy has been there for countless people within his community or outside of it.

As friends of this person that's always there for others, we now ask for support on his behalf.

On Thursday, December 30th, the Marshall Fire broke out in Boulder County, CO with unpredictable winds reaching over 100 mph. This was the second most devastating fire in Colorado history destroying over 6,200 acres and many of the homes within. Cassidy was working to evacuate his Mother safely with the help of his partner Zoe. Despite best efforts and situational awareness, while packing their own vehicles for evacuation, they were both suddenly trapped in a firestorm. They had to be rushed to Samaritan Hospital and both were transferred to regional burn units. He sustained 1st through 3rd-degree burns all over his body and is still in recovery.

We are so thankful that they were able to make it out of the fire zone with their lives, but Cass lost his home, shop, vehicles, and all the tools he uses to make his livelihood and we would like to come together as a community to help him start over.

Whether or not you have ever met Cassidy, we (his friends and family) would ask that you help our friend and brother restart his life and business. Every little bit helps and you are all appreciated!

Let’s come together in support of a person who has always done the same for others and supports so many other people and communities. Thank you!

Bonus: For every person who donates $20 or more (using name and email so we can track entries), Kopis Designs will enter you to win a custom knife with sheath valued at $550 upon close of the campaign.

Note: if you are another business or maker who would like to help raise additional funds, please just contact Jon or Moses.
