Cassidy's Linklater MFA

For those of you who might not know me, my name is Cassidy McCartan. I have had the excellent opportunity to further my career this past year in London at Rose Bruford College, where I am pursuing an MFA in Linklater Voice Teaching Practice. I'm tremendously excited about this opportunity and am eager to make the most of it. What drew me to this school was the program that Kristin Linklater put together with the help of many faculty on the course. Along with my cohort, I will study extensively in Linklater Voice, Michael Checkov Acting, and Theatre of the Oppressed and Applied Theatre Arts.

Having completed this course of study, I will be a Linklater Designated Voice Teacher and have my MFA. I will be able to teach voice, acting, and Theatre of the Oppressed all over the world. I have completed half of this course and traveled to Orkney as part of the Linklater voice designation tract. Upon returning to London this upcoming winter, I will begin student teaching and finishing up class studies.

I have made it through this past year on my own, and now I estimate that around $6,300 will help cover rent and living costs to bring me through to graduation!

This has been a dream of mine for a long time to travel to the UK and get an opportunity to further my study of the art I love. I hope you might consider helping me toward that goal.
