Castaneda Family Fund

If you know us well, you know how difficult this is for us. We are not the type to go around asking for help but this has been a difficult and overwhelming time for us. We have been put through this test of life and so here we are. As most of our friends and family know, my husband has suffered a heart attack at the age of 39.... 39!! We were in no way prepared for something like this to happen to our family. Life Changing! Many have asked "how can we help?". It has been so hard for us to bring ourself to ask for anything. As Carlos heals we are starting to get a more clear picture of all that we have to face going forward. The most daunting being our financial state. As you can imagine, Carlos has and will be out of work for sometime. For me, working at the school district for almost 17 years, summer means no work. We have been blessed with a wonderful family business which has been keeping us afloat but with so much time off we just know it will not be enough. Carlos has always put others first and always looked out for families in need. He has raised money for families who have lost loved ones, raised and donated Christmas trees and gifts for deserving families at Christmas time, donated his time to countless non profits, the list goes on and on. He never thought that one day he would find himself needing the same help. He is a man with a huge heart, strength and courage. I am broken knowing the hardship we face going forward but I know with all our loved ones looking for a way to help our family will be able to get through this and come out ok. We love everyone who has prayed for us and for Carlos' quick recovery. We cannot express enough how much it has meant to us. Please know that we are so grateful for each and every one of you and for the outpour of kindness and compassion. If all you have to give is your time, we sure would love to have some company too.
