Castillo Family Medical Support
Anyone who knows Donna knows she has a heart of gold ❤️ She is the first one to be there when one of her friends or family members needs a helping hand.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 Donna was triumphant and has been in remission for the past 2 years. After some serious medical complications began in May of this year and resulted in numerous trips to the emergency room, Donna was diagnosed with a 2nd form of cancer. Her diagnosis of an extremely rare form of cancer (Leiomyosarcoma) required her to undergo an emergency hysterectomy on June 16th.
Unfortunately the surgery was not without complications and Donna spent in additional 5 days hospitalized at UCLA with sepsis caused by an infection at the surgery site.
A sample of the cancerous legion was taken during the hysterectomy and after testing it is being recommended that Donna undergo Chemotherapy. She is currently seeking additional opinions before moving forward with treatment.
Donna has been unable to work since COVID-19 shut down her industry back in March and will not be able to resume working due to her current medical condition. All funds raised will go directly to medical bills and to offset the cost of her medical care.
