Castletown, Unite the House & Demesne

Save Castletown's Aim is to unite the historic lands of Castletown Estate. To promote a healthy environment, free from all toxic pollutants and protect the existing biodiversity within these lands.

Castletown Demesne is under serious threat of future development as long as a large amount of the lands remain in private hands. Our aim is to ensure that the state take the action required to acquire these lands to protect and unite this majestic domain.

To do this, we need to raise money for PR, printing, website, admin costs & everything else we need to create awareness of the issues and threats to the future security of Castletown House & Demesne.

Thanks to your support we surpassed our initial goal of €5,000. We have extended our target to €10,000 to propel the long campaign ahead!

SAVE CASTLETOWN will initiate action within Celbridge and will liaise with other local communities such as Leixlip, Maynooth and Lucan to promote our Vision. We will engage in transparent communication and active engagement in policy-making and planning with local and central government to achieve our objectives. We will liaise with the OPW (Office of Public Works) on issues related to Castletown Estate and the neighbouring lands, as well as the streams and the river Liffey which flow through this land.
