Cat hit by car and left for dead, needs surgery

Hi friends! I want to introduce you to the kitty now known as Apollo. He was hit by a car and eventually wandered up on a kind souls porch who has been caring for him. Her name is Fallon and she has fallen in love with this kitty! He was dragging his leg, super skinny, and had some serious infections to boot. He has been seen by Dr. Geyer who found that his leg was so badly broken he would require a serious surgery. She immediately jumped into action, got his pain managed, and then treated the infection. He was then transferred to the care of Dr. Smith who, after reviewing his case thoroughly, is seeking surgical services through a specialist. Both docs said that Apollo, despite his significant physical trauma, is the most loving cat ever! He purrs constantly and seeks attention. I think he knows he is now safe, warm, and will be taken care of for the rest of his days!

 

So here is what we are looking at. We have already racked up over $500 in vet bills. This surgery is estimated to be around $3500, and could be more if they run into unforeseen issues during the procedure. I am committed to getting Apollo the care he needs. He deserves it after being let down by humans. He has such a loving spirit even when in such pain.

 

I know Christmas time is a terrible time to ask for donations but Apollo needs us. Any amount no matter how small will be such a big help!
