Cat Hit & Run on Country Road
Donation protected
Some caring ladies found this poor boy as he was left for dead on the side of the road. He was hit by a car, and his leg was broken. He was in distress and pain and didn't fuss when offered help. Not knowing what to do, they brought him to the nearest vet hospital, Fisher Mills Animal Hospital. They immediately sedated him and gave him pain medication, which allowed for x-rays to be taken, which showed the severity of the break.
The ladies initially were hoping to help him in some way, but after learning the extent of the injury felt there wasn't anything more they could do. Fisher Mills Animal Hospital then contacted us, Cambridge Homeless Cat Rescue, and asked if we could bring the cat into our rescue. After some discussion, we decided together we would help this cat. He may require specialized surgery and an orthopedic surgeon will be performing his surgery.
Even with Fisher Mills providing services at cost, the estimated total is $3000 to save his life. This is a high and unexpected bill and we need your help to cover the cost. We will be providing him with all his aftercare, including follow-up vet visits, medications, fostering and food, till he is able to be adopted.
