Bilateral retinoblastoma is a very rare type of eye cancer that usually develops in early childhood (rate 1: 30,000).
Cătălin needs the most urgent investigation that can be done in Switzerland. The treatment is specific for each eye and lasts about 6 months. If the malignant tumor is not treated immediately, it could risks losing sight and even the eyes. In order to begin treatment as soon as possible, the family needs $ 65,000.00, an amount that cannot be collected by Cătălin's parents.

Totul a fost bine și frumos pâna acum două luni când părinții mei au observat că ochișorul stâng deviază. La un control medical de rutină eu am fost diagnosticat cu Retinoblastoma bilaterală. Cătălin are nevoie de o investigație cât mai urgentă care poate fi facută în Elveția. Tratamentul este unul specific, pentru fiecare ochi în parte și durează aproximativ 6 luni. Dacă tumoarea malignă nu este tratată urgent riscă pierderea vederii și chiar a ochișorilor. Pentru a putea începe tratamentul cât mai urgent, familia are nevoie de 65,000.00$, suma imposibil de adunat pentru părinții lui Cătălin.
