Catapult Seth to Recovery

Donation protected
In the Fall of 2017 South Park residents Seth Marko and Jennifer Powell opened the Book Catapult and instantly became an integral part of the San Diego family of independent booksellers.

South Park residents have been amazing in their support and have adopted Seth, Jen and their adorable three year old merchandise destroying daughter Josephine into the neighborhood family.

Fellow Catapult lovers, now is the time to stand together!

Chief Catapult operator Seth Marko decided- without the permission of his loyal fans and customers- that the last week of January would be a good time to do some routine medical maintenance via a ten hour emergency open heart surgery.  One new Aorta later, followed by a lovely stay at the UCSD Sculpizio Cardiac Center ICU and we are PLEASED TO SAY SETH HAS MADE IT BACK HOME and is resting as comfortably as one can expect, but now the real recovery begins.

The Book Catapult, while Seth convalesces, is down to a skeleton staff.

We don’t know how long it will be before Seth is back to business as usual at the Book Catapult, There is also the uncertainty of medical bills.  We do know, Aortas ain’t cheap and running a bookstore is a lot of work.  With three year old Josephine still several years away from being old enough to work the register, we're stepping in to help the family anyway we can.

Your donation will go to helping towards unexpected medical bills and additional costs of keeping The Catapult running full steam ahead!

The Book Catapult didn't ask us to do this, but so many of you have offered your help in a variety of ways. We thought this would be a great way to show support from near and far. Seth, Jen and the catapult have impacted so many, we're hoping you'll contribute any amount to help them in this time of recovery.
