Catastrophic Flood Fund

Donation protected
My family has experienced the horrible loss of their new home due to multiple dam failures and catastrophic flooding in Michigan.  The house was full of over 6 feet of water and they are unsure if it is salvageable at this point.  Flood insurance was not recommended for their area, so they are currently suffering a huge financial loss.

This house was a two-year renovation project and was on the cusp of being completely finished.  They were permanently moved in and JUST sold their old house last week.  Out of nowhere, they are back to square one and went from having two homes, to having zero homes.  They are scrambling to salvage what they can.  To further add insult to injury, looters came in the middle of the night and stole from the house.

This is FAR more than just property loss for them.  This home was the promise of a new start for them after suffering the tragic loss of their 21 year old son a few years back.   They have been slowly rebuilding their life and were finally almost there.   I can’t express what a devastating emotional, physical and financial set back this is for them.

I am setting up this gofundme to help with finding them a new place to stay,  possible home repairs and replacement of all of their personal things.  I know these are difficult times for everyone but please help if you can.

Love you Michelle and Tommy!
