Help Todd & Angela Worley Rebuild After Catastrophic Fire
Donation protected
At roughly 3:30am on Monday April 15th Todd Worley awoke to an amber glow after falling asleep on the sofa following a long day of working in the yard - he immediately knew that his home was on fire. Todd raced upstairs to wake his wife Angela screaming "FIRE - GET OUT!" They fled their home with their adult son Blake in only their pajamas and no shoes on their feet.
Moments seemed like hours as they waited for the fire deparment to arrive ... then another truck after the first ran out of water. By early morning Nothing was left. All of their life’s possessions, phones, cars, even thier pets - dog, cat and bird were all lost to the fire.
By the grace of God, Angela Todd and Blake all made it out alive. This is a horrific tradegy that will take time to recouperate from. Take a moment to imagine ... all that you have left to your name is what you went to bed wearing!
Tuesday, I drove to a beautifully manicured landscaped lot in Asheboro North Carolina where Angela and Todd had built their forever home just over 18 years ago.
As I drove up the driveway Angela stepped from the ashes wearing bright yellow work gloves. Red faced she looked up and said I’m looking for my wedding ring and Trixie’s remains (her dog). It is an image that I will never forget – I just hugged her and we cried. This is a loss that I simply can’t put into words.
IF you can find it in your heart to donate, I want you to know that the Worley Family THANKS YOU! They thank you for your prayers, your donations, your gifts and for sharing this horrific tragedy with others so that they too may pray and/or donate.
