Cath Williams Loved by Many. Funeral fundraiser.

Hi my name is Amy Warrington and I'm raising funds for my best friend Cath Williams so her family can provide her with a funeral service and a celebration of life that she deserves.

My friend Cath Williams has been in my life for many many years and they have been the best of my life. We have always said we are sisters from another mister. It hurts to sit here and write this but she deserves the best in life and death.

Cath is a fighter and has been through a lot in her 54 years but still would always put others 1st and do anything for anyone. She is an incredible daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and we will all be completely lost when she is gone so giving her a perfect send off only seems right.

On top of other life limiting illnesses she has suffered including m.e unfortunately in July 2020 she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It was an aggressive cancer that lead to her having a mastectomy and lymphnodes removed. She also went through intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy and all of this in the hight of the covid pandemic so she had to go to all the appointments and treatment alone with all her family and friends reluctantly supporting from the sidelines.

We had great news in June 2021 that she was cancer free and she rang that bell at Nottingham city hospital jubilantly and excited for the life she had ahead.

Then unfortunately in October 2022 Cath got the devastating news that the cancer had returned and this time she was given a terminal diagnosis. We were all heartbroken as you can understand. We had a ray of light that Cath could be accepted onto a trial that could give her extra years to spend with her family but unfortunately after going through all the tests we got the devastating news that this would no longer be possible.

Cath will start chemotherapy and immunotherapy on Dec 29th in the hope it helps prolong her life as unfortunately it can not save her life.

Her family would love to give her the send off that she deserves and maybe tick a couple of things of her bucket list if possible.

I know times are hard at the moment but even the smallest amount would mean so much to us all
