Catherine's Story
Catherine Andrea Diaz just turned 15 years old on January 9.
Catherine has a Brain Tumor. This tumor is pressing the Brainstem, which affects her movility and vision and will probably take her life due to Hydrocephalus.
Her life is at risk without the surgery.
She has been admitted at Clinica Mayo in Jacksonville, FL as of Tuesday January 10th. Her parents are expecting approval from the doctors to take her case and perform surgery this week. Catherine does not have US Health Insurance.
We are asking for your prayers and donations to cover a portion of her medical bills.
Her parents are with her, staying at the hospital while Catherine undergoes several tests prior to the surgery. They made a great effort to bring her to the US to get the best treatment available. Unfortunately, this type of surgery is not offer in her home town Panama city, Panama.
The medical bills are rising and will be over $100k.
Update: Catherine surgery was on January 13. For over 5 hours Dr. Q. and his team worked their magic to save Catherine. They removed 90% of the tumor. She has recovered her mobility and vision. She has now been release from the hospital, but will have to visit periodically.
Si usted vive en la ciudad de Panama, favor hacer sus donaciones al Banco General a la cuenta de Ahorros 04-20-01-674776-7 Jessika Santamaria (Mama de Catherine).
Thank you again for your prayers and donations!
