Catherine's Ecuador Trip

Dear Family and Friends, 

I have a very exciting opportunity to travel to Quito, Ecuador this May with a national nonprofit organization called, Timmy Global Health, and I would appreciate your support!

Timmy Global Health is an organization that strives to expand access to healthcare while empowering students and medical volunteers to assist in addressing some of the world's health challenges. I was fortunate enough to be  selected to go on a medical trip this coming May. 

I will be among approximately 20 students from CU Boulder, who have intersest in medical careers, that will travel together to Ecuador. This opportunity will allow us to shadow different doctors, learn how to fill perscriptions, assist the doctors in evaluating people's vitals and to better understand the challenges and culture of the people of Ecuador. 

Timmy Global Health is an organization committed to providing ongoing healthcare to the people of Ecuador and other underdeveloped regions. The organization makes a commitment to send volunteer teams to these regions every month to provide continued follow up and support to people who do not have access to healthcare. 


I am very excited to have been selected to participate in  this trip because it will help me better understand and experience the impact that I may have in improving people's lives in a potential medical career. Healthcare is easily taken for granted in the United States, which is unique and uncommon versus other parts of the world. My passion for Timmy is that providing healthcare to those that do not have access to it will make a difference.  Without good health, people's potential and futures are limited. I have previously been on mission trips to Nicaragua and I have seen the positive impact of providing continued support to those in underdeveloped areas. An important aspect of Timmy is providing continuous  support, care, and friendship to the people of the region to ensure their ongoing health. 


Part of my interest in healthcare stems from being a premature infant. Being exposed to medicine and being able to shadow doctors has made me realize how lucky I am to be healthy and it has influenced me to have a passion for helping others. 

The purpose of this GoFundMe page is to provide financial support for my participation on this medical trip, so that I may assist Timmy Global Health and the people of Ecuador to the best of my ability. I would greatly appreciate your donation in support of me in this endeavor. It will be very meaningful to me to be able to go on this trip and be a part of a team that continues to improve the lives of other people and expands access to healthcare.
