Cathey Family

Hey guys. As everyone knows this past week has been the scariest thing the Cathey family has ever endured. Our little Rayne, before even hitting 3 weeks old, caught COVID. Her little body wasn’t able to break her 104 degree fever even with Tylenol. There is a chance she had meningitis, aka swelling in her spinal cord/brain. It’s being treated with 2 different IV antibiotics. KRMC was horrible and I’d never take a baby there even in an emergency. She was poked over a dozen times and no one was able to get an IV, they tried 3 times for a lumbar.. they started antibiotics before even getting her cultures, and that’s prevented us from being able to go home right away. She was then helicopter flighted to Phoenix.

People have helped with gas, and feeding us, which we are VERY grateful for! But on top of all of this, Jacob lost his job. He applied for unemployment but it’s still pending an investigation. I applied for DES assistant, but that’s also a process. Due to Jacob losing his job and me being on maternity leave.. our bills have had to be moved to the back burner, and now we are falling behind.
