Cathy Douglas

Hi, this is Rheannon. Today we lost a beautiful soul, my aunt Cathy Douglas. She was a loving mother to Chase and Brandon, a compassionate wife to Glen, a loyal best friend to her twin sister Christine, a matriarch, a rock, a warm protecting embrace... She was everything to us, and we will miss her immensely.

Cathy was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in October of last year. Despite intense chemo and radiation therapy, the oncologists were unable to stop the spread. Uncle Glen tried everything to save our Cathy, including paying out-of-pocket for expensive cancer treatments not covered by OHIP, but that too proved unsuccessful. As strong as Cathy was, the cancer inevitably took her life.

I am hoping that we can raise some money for the grieving family. Cathy had heart problems later in life, a condition that left her unable to get life insurance. This, plus the cancer treatment bills, will be an added stress that no broken family should have to endure. Any donations would be very much appreciated. Proceeds will go towards hospital bills and a funeral service to properly honour Cathy. Thank you
