Family and Friends of the Gross family invite you to join in this fundraiser to help with medical expenses and treatments Cathy has had and will undergo.
On September 15, 2022, Cathy underwent an urgent and very extensive surgery to remove a very large ovarian mass. Unfortunately, the mass was malignant. While we wait to know the extent of her treatment plan, our focus is to make (yes, make) this strong willed, go-getter rest so she can focus on her health, healing and recuperation.
Cathy, along with her husband, Gary, are extremely involved in their daughter's academics and activities. Ireland, age 14, is an extremely talented dancer. Cathy's home away from home is with her 'On Your Toes' dance family. Watching her daughter dance and participating in all her dance mom duties brings her pride and joy.
Cathy's official career title is "daycare provider" but those who know her, know her title goes above and beyond that. For many, many years she has been the caretaker of numerous children (some now adults!) in our community. Never does she have to advertise a daycare opening as her wait list is always full strictly by word of mouth referrals. Ask any of the parents who have or have had children in Cathy's care and the common consensus is, "she's amazing!" How she does all she does, we cannot wrap our mind around. We strive for her joyful, patient, and understanding character. The love the daycare kids have for Cathy...or "Faffy", "Chappy" or "Caphy" is always expressed. In her leave of absence they question her well being and show confusion on why they aren't seeing her everyday.
You noticed the song lyric above? Well... Cathy has a lot of concerts to attend with friends and family and we're not going to let this battle hold her back!
Thank you for considering a donation. Give as you are able and continue to lift her and her family in prayer.
