Cathy (Hairdresser) Hit & Run Hand Injury Support
Donation protected
On March 8th, Cathy was hit by a stolen vehicle at an intersection in St Catharines, the drivers ran off on foot. Both vehicles were totalled. Unfortunately, Cathy has injured her hands. An impossibly frustrating and impeding injury for a hairdresser.
I'm Kaila, Cathy's daughter-in-law writing to you. I'm opening this fundraiser to help support Cathy navigate a difficult time. We are beyond grateful that Cathy is not severely injured from this horrible occurrence. She has been advised not to work and do physio to gain strength, movement, and full range back to her hand. For Cathy using her hands is her livelihood and she will need to continue to be able to pay bills.
Her Truck was totalled, she's now without a vehicle. I hate to see Cathy feeling frustrated, angry, and defeated. With the vehicle being stollen and drivers running away from the scene, any sort of insurance is looking to be very long-term to resolve.
If you know Cathy, you know it is impossible for her to ask for help. But we all need community to be there for us when we need it the most. Cathy is a tough women, full of joy and if you can offer a donation at this time it would be greatly appreciated. This money will be used to support her monthly payments, physio, and eventually looking for a vehicle.
