Cathy has lost everything in a house fire

Hi,

My name is Heather Sullivan and on January 16th, 2022 my aunt Cathy Cupps lost everything in a horrible house fire. Our family just lost my father (our rock, Cathy’s brother unexpectedly on January 12th, 2022) as well.

These losses have really humbled our family and we are asking our community for help. My Aunt Cathy is homeless and has no where to go. The Red Cross gave her some toiletries and $500 for a hotel room and I have called to get housing only to be informed there is 6 month wait list through HUD and some assisted living.
My Aunt is 67 years old, takes care of her 16 year old grandson Malachi and lives on Social Security which is only $976 a month. My grandmother, my aunt and her grandson Malachi lived together but a year and a half ago my grandmother passed away and unfortunately to make ends meet my Aunt had to let the homeowner’s insurance lapse. At this time there is no insurance to help and with limited income there are not a lot of options.

My Aunt Cathy is really close with her family. The recent loss of her mother and brother has devastated her, and now to lose her home (which was my grandmother’s home) has brought her to her knees.

I am trying to do the only thing I can right now by asking friends, relatives,  and the community to please share, donate and keep us all in your prayers as this is a terrible situation and she needs all the help she can get.
My aunt wears a size 14 in pants, size 9 shoe, and a large/x-large in shirts.

Malachi wears a size 30x32 in pants,  large/X-Large in shirts, and a size 10 in shoes.
