Cathy Frick's Children's Education

On July 1, 2015, the Potsdam, NY community lost a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, colleague, and teacher. After being in the hospital for a month, she very unexpectedly passed away leaving a hole in the hearts of many.
Cathy is survived by three lovely and talented children ages 16, 14, and 10. It is the extended family's hope to provide them with love and support in the difficult days ahead.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 4, 1970, Cathy graduated from William Floyd High School and SUNY Potsdam College where she received her BA and MA degrees from Crane School of Music. She also completed a BA in Special Education.
Cathy was employed as a music teacher at Lawrence Avenue Elementary School in Potsdam. She was also Superintendent of the Potsdam United Methodist Church Sunday School program for many years, and was a member of the Potsdam Community Band, and conducted orchestra for the “Secret Garden” performances.
Cathy will be missed more than words can express. She touched everyone's heart and made their days brighter. You could not find a more selfless person.
