Catibog Family Needs Our Help

On January 21, Tristan and Monette happily welcomed baby Tyler into the world - 9 weeks before his due date. Despite weighing only 3 pounds and arriving early, Tyler has proven himself a fighter! After being in the NICU for 7 weeks, Tyler was able to go home with his mom, dad, Lola and Lolo (grandma and grandpa). The Catibog family is forever grateful for the incredible care from the doctors and nurses of Advocate Health Care.

Suddenly, things took a turn for the worse. Tyler became cyanotic and unresponsive three times. Each time, Monette and Tristan resuscitated him. So after two weeks at home, Tyler was readmitted due to sepsis. This would result in another hospital stay of three weeks. Currently and thankfully, Tyler is at home, but now has a new challenge to face - a scheduled hernia repair surgery.

Because of Tyler's extended stays in and out of the hospital and with the upcoming surgery, Tristan and Monette are both nurses and no longer have any PTO (paid time off) to use to support one another and baby Tyler. Tristan and Monette have recently arrived in the US and have no family nearby to help. Tristan and Monette's fellow co-workers have become their family away from home.

On behalf of the Catibog family, we are asking for donations to help support Tristan and his family during this rough time. No amount is too small, and any support in the form of donations and prayers will be greatly appreciated by Tristan and his family. We are hoping the financial assistance we provide will help alleviate the burden on Tristan and his family so they can focus on taking care of baby Tyler.
