CatNAPS Low-Cost Spay Neuter Program
Tax deductible
The Cat Connection is working towards ending cat overpopulation by providing community-wide low-cost spay/neuter programs for owned cats. In the picture are kittens named Dora, Spanky and Alfalfa who were spayed/neutered with our help and the help of donors like you, through GoFundMe. Every dollar will have twice the impact! A generous donor will match the first $1000!
During the pandemic, The Cat Connection has provided a low-cost spay/neuter program for owned cats. People who are on assistance, social security, or are in need in other ways, have been especially hard hit this past year. Many are reaching out to us when they find that they do not have the financial means to spay or neuter their cat. Spaying and neutering cats is very important: it reduces potential health and behavioral problems of pet cats, reduces the chance of cats trying to escape outside, reduces the potential for unwanted kittens if pet cats get outside, and in extreme cases, reduces the chance that owners relinquish their cats and/or kittens when they have no other options to care for them. Through GoFundMe, we have helped over 35 cats and their owners with this program. Even so, there is still an urgent need to help since calls continue to come in.
Who are we?
The Cat Connection is a Waltham-based non-profit organization with a mission to help cats and cat owners in surrounding communities. Our ongoing spay/neuter work is only possible through privately raised funds: grants, fundraising events and personal donations from supporters like you who believe that all cats are special and worthy of love, kindness and a healthy second chance. If you can help us in this effort, please contribute to The Cat Connection.
