Family mission to Liberia
Donation protected
After much discernment and many prayers, we have accepted an opportunity to go on a family mission to Liberia. Greg will be overseeing Liberia Mission, which consists of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, a residential program for orphans, a farm and a piggery. He will be working in collaboration with over 35 Liberians on the Mission, including the principal, teachers, and mission priest. The school's enrollment is around 400 students with 75 students in-residence at the orphanage. Eliana and Liam will attend St. Anthony of Padua School in the morning and receive supplemental homeschooling in the afternoon.
Greg's travel and health care costs are covered by Franciscan Works - a nonprofit organization in Chicago that supports Liberia Mission. Expenses on site in Liberia - such as food and housing - are covered for the whole family. However, we must raise funds to cover travel- and health-related costs for Kristen and the children. Those costs include:
Health insurance - $4,400/family per year
One-way airline tickets - $5,000/family
Homeschool materials - $1,000 per year
Visas - $300 each
Vaccines - $1,038 for Kristen, $330 for each child
Malaria pills - $550 for Kristen per year, $3,000 total for the children per year
We humbly invite you to join us in this mission by supporting us with your prayers and, if you feel so led, by supporting us financially.
Note: If you would like your donation to be tax deductible, you may donate on the Franciscan Works donation page. Please indicate that your donation is going to support our family by putting "Caudle family" in the Comments box at the bottom of the page. These funds will be restricted to support travel and health care costs for Kristen and the children, and donors will receive a tax receipt.
We are so grateful for all of your encouragement, prayers and support, and we look forward to seeing how God will use us on this great adventure. God's blessings to you all!
In Christ,
The Caudle family
