Cause for Celebration

Tax deductible
Hi guys! It's that time again! Wanted to start by thanking yall for helping me raise 600$ (twice my goal) for ACLU the last time I did this, I will forever be touched by that. Seriously, you're the best. For this year, I need help making a difference by contributing to a really dope and innovative cancer research foundation that needs help bringing their treatment to human trials.

The Ora Lee Smith Foundation's mission is to change the way cancer is treated and reduce cancer-patient suffering by providing a treatment that is accessible, affordable, and, most importantly, effective. Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green has developed a Laser-Activated Nano-Therapy (LANT) treatment that works by shining a harmless laser light (laser activation) on a cancer tumor that has been injected with non-toxic nanometer-sized particles in solution (nano). The nanosolution absorbs the laser light, converts it into heat, and provides a selective, thermal death for the cancer cells (therapy). (This would completely cut out chemotherapy, and other radiation treatments that harm healthy neighboring cells and physically deteriorate patients.)

Their research completely eliminates tumors in mice in just 15 days after one 10 minute treatment without any observed side effects. Their first fundraising goal of $10 million will enable them to begin LANT human trials within 24 months.

There are so many incredible well-established foundations to contribute to, but I also think it's important to help ones such as these, get off the ground. Any research effort, on any disease, whether it succeeds or fails is all contributing to getting closer to a cure. Dr. Green's treatment and vision has the potential to shut big pharm companies down, and I think that's one of the reasons there's no spotlight shown on her.

Help me change that, and celebrate my new year with your contribution to help support Dr. Green's foundation! Any donation amount helps, and if you don't have anything to give, do me a favor and check out the Ora Lee Smith Foundation website to see the details of the work they're doing!
