Pawhuska Rodeo Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tracey. I am creating a fundraiser for my sister, Lacey McCause. On Wednesday, July 19 just before the Grand Entry parade at the Cavalcade Rodeo in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, an accident occurred on the track as many people were lining up to participate in the Grand Entry. For reasons unknown, a teenage girl rode her horse at a high rate of speed directly into the crowd awaiting entry into the arena. This rider collided with several people including Lacey who was on her horse. Several people were transported to the local hospital and it appeared that 2 horses lost their life during this unfortunate accident. Lacey was seen at the local hospital where they found she had a broken back. She was then transported to a larger hospital in Tulsa, Ok where she underwent surgery. At this time, doctors are monitoring how her body responds to this surgery to determine whether or not she will need another surgery. Doctors expect Lacey to need a minimum of 6 weeks to recover.
Lacey is not only a strong and resilient individual, but also a loving single mother to six children. Two of her kids are currently competing at Cavalcade, and the accident has added an enormous financial burden on the family. Medical expenses, ongoing treatments, and the need for additional assistance in taking care of her children have placed a tremendous strain on their resources. To help Lacey and her family during this challenging time, I am starting this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will go directly towards medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and providing the necessary support for her children's well-being. Your kindness and generosity can help lift this burden from their shoulders. Thank you for your consideration in supporting Lacey in this difficult time.
