Cavalier Theatre to SETC in Lexington, KY

Jefferson Forest High School's one-act competition play, THE BEGGAR'S OPERA, placed in the top 2 out of 33 schools at the Virginia Theatre Association conference! These 24 talented, hard-working students now have the invitation and opportunity to take this show on the road to represent Virginia at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Lexington, KY, March 1-5, 2023!

The 10-state region includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. The top 2 plays from each state will compete on Thursday, March 2 and Friday, March 3, for the title of Best Production in the Southeast.

The price tag for registration fees, hotel, set transport, and charter bus is $20,000. Needless to say, we didn't factor that into this season's budget! LOL That's why we're asking for your help!
