Hello! My name is Claire!
I am an actress and filmmaker in Los Angeles, California. I came here from Mississippi to pursue my love of making movies. I create from my heart. I think it is important to connect with something true in your art. My short film Cave Diving is my heart. It is an intimate story about relationships, boundaries and connection.
The story centers around Lou, a 20 year old college student who is failing her classes and doesn’t know what to do with her life. She works at a restaurant with Jack, a 40 year old divorcee and single parent whom she has an innocent infatuation with. The story begins on their drive home together from work. These two conflicted and lonely characters are able to connect by closing their eyes and pretending they are scuba diving. I want to show the beauty and importance of human connection beyond the need for words or physical touch. I have been saved on many occasions through connections like this, as it is Lou and Jack's salvation.
I am funding most of the project myself, but it is crucial we have the perfect place for filming our scene. We have already found our perfect location now we just need your help with the funding. Additional proceeds will go to craft services, costumes, and renting the picture car. Everyone who donates will get a personal thank you message from me and also a big smooch! It would make my little heart so happy.
Thank you for your help! If you cannot donate please share!
Best Wishes,
Claire
P.S. this is a student film aligned with Sag-Aftra strike agreements!!
