The Charity
Cavendish Cancer Care are an independent Sheffield charity who go above and beyond to help those impacted by cancer across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. They offer professional counselling and therapy, with their services being 100% free of charge and tailored to each individual’s needs. Cavendish Cancer Care also have a Young People’s Service which offers specialist support to children and young people up to the age of 18, whose lives have been affected by cancer. This includes those who have had cancer themselves, as well as those who have been affected by the illness within the family. Unfortunately Cavendish Cancer Care only receive 6% of their funding from the government, so hugely rely on donations and fundraising to fund the charity. £360 can provide a full programme of care and support for one more person.
Our Story
As Sheffield Hallam University students who study International Events Management, we have been tasked with organising a charity fundraising event for our final assignment. The event will be held in March 2021, with all profits going to Cavendish Cancer Care.
In order to fund the main event we will be holding a number of different fundraising events, with all donations going towards the cost of the final event. All profits from the final event will go straight to the charity, and we are aiming to raise a minimum of £2000. Any donations would be hugely appreciated by us and the charity.
