Hello, unfortunately we lost a 3 year old, Cayden Denny. He was the coolest little boy and his family's pride and joy. They were a young family, just getting their lives as a family started out. Cayden lost his life from a motor vehicle accident. This tragedy leaves a big hole in a lot of people's hearts. We're raising money to help cover funeral expenses as well as travel for some immediate family members that live outside the area. Anything left over will go to the family to help cover miscellaneous expenses and bills while they process and grieve. Any little bit helps. Whether you are in a position to help or not, please keep Cayden and his parents in your thoughts and prayers while they go through this incredibly difficult time. 100% of funds raised will be given directly to his father to help with expenses. Many have asked for details on how the accident happened. I have copy and pasted the official police report.

At approximately 8:23 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023, the Melbourne Police Department responded to the area of Dairy Road and Hall Street regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers discovered a juvenile pedestrian had sustained serious bodily injuries as a result of the crash. The parent of the juvenile also sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. Initial investigation reveals the juvenile and two adults were exiting a vehicle parked southbound in the center lane of Dairy Road to return home. The vehicle they were exiting also had a trailer attached. The juvenile was able to run from the parent, behind the trailer and into the northbound lanes of Dairy Road. As the parent attempted to stop the child, they were both struck by a 2009 Honda Pilot being driven northbound. It appears alcohol/drugs are not a factor in this crash. The crash is still under investigation.
