A Beautiful Soul Lost - Mike Brown

This Sunday, 1/14/23, Mike Brown passed away.

This GoFundMe campaign was originally created in the summer with spirit to soul from heart that Mike would improve. Unfortanately, this re-launch of campaign is to support cost of services for a dear friend to many and most importantly, his family whom are making arrangements.

To support his grieving family, re-launching this campaign as the money generated was used to cover an incremental part of his bills in summer into fall for hospital and other expenses as he was no longer able to work given health issues.

What do you say about an individual who has positively impacted anyone and everyone who has had the opportunity to know, in family or friendship.

His name is Mike Brown.

One piece of a puzzle that has helped shape the soul of Detroit through friendship, music, supporting culture versus divide, and most importantly, creating balance thru communities.

I want to talk about the person we know, respect and love.

He has been struggling thru kidney dialysis with prayers from all for a transplant while throughout, dealing with cancer. It breaks so many hearts to see this Strong Individual, friend to all who have been blessed to know this gentleman, and family member to many who consistently puts himself aside. One who cares more about his 89-year-old Father.

This fundraiser took a great deal of time to start. With a tear and all love, he gave his blessing and permission to create.

In life, we do not always put much attention to it. We are aware of those special people who made a lasting mark, that positive influence as we reach out to achieve our personal to professional goals. Individuals in our lives who smile from the soul with a heart filled with so, so much love but, no place big enough to store it. That one person who always has something positive to say, an ear to listen, the time to mentor if needed without question or hesitation, the one who does anything to brighten up someone’s day no matter what he may be going through, asks for nothing while doing everything for others before self.

A defining talent at the forefront of the Detroit electronic music community in the late 1970s. Something many in more recent generations learned as he does not talk about it unless for, opportunities to educate in support of others that can help bridge support to the beautiful city of Detroit he calls home and for the Artists he has been there in support since the start and those that will shape the future.

To define is to understand his energy for life, love for all, kindness, one who always promotes truth, mindfulness with compassion and a level of empathy kindled like a match lit thru his beautiful soul.

I hope this message reaches those that understand how we sometimes take for granted how beautiful life is when surrounded by individuals who care about you, your dreams, and your goals.

" Mike Brown was one of the Artists at the start of the Detroit electronic music scene. Although too young to understand the scene, Mike had a very strong impression on me during those early days in the late 70s thru the early 80s. As I grew older, was blessed to work in collaborations as he has become a very dear friend, close to heart from bridged souls throughout the years. He is what you would call the quiet, cool one. Proteus and glad to know him and call him my older brother. "
