Avoid Eviction

Hi my name is Cory. In September I leased an apartment with another person. October, November, December they have hardly paid any bills at all, leaving all of it for me to handle which I did my best to do. In January they decided they wanted off the lease and I complied. Around the same time my job cut my hours significantly. Since then I have tried out two other roommates but neither worked out and it was already simply too late for them to help catch up. Also since then I have transferred job locations where I am guaranteed full time hours. Friday, April 5th, at my court date I was ruled to be evicted. The landlord will give me until April 17th to catch up the rent owed. The case lists February and March rent, a total of $3139.50, however receiving help for April rent as well would be appreciated. I am in touch with a number of eviction assistance programs in the area but at this time I am uncertain of their contributions. I also have friends eager to help as well, but again at this time I am uncertain of their contributions. I love my apartment and would hate so much to move; I’ve done everything I believe I can to stay afloat but it’s just become too much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
