SLC House Fire Victims Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi friends/family/community,
Many of you know that my cousin Angelina's house caught fire early this morning about 2:30AM. Her youngest child, 3-year-old Angelina, had to be rescued from the home by firefighters. My cousin Angelina and baby-Angelina remain in stable yet critical condition at the University of Utah Hospital for injuries related to burns and smoke inhalation. See the KSL report here KSL 5 News Coverage
My cousin Angelina has three daughters: Amina, 12, Zahara, 6 and Angelina is 3. Nothing will be salvagable from their home. They lost everything. Their clothing, toys, books, keepsakes, photos on the walls, everything. My aunt is currently working with the American Red Cross to determine what services they may be able to provide, however, in the meantime, it's about 2 days before Christmas and Amina and Zahara are without their mom, baby sister, many basic needs as well as all their Christmas gifts that were destroyed in the fire.
We are hoping we can spread this campaign to the many communities we belong to in hopes of raising funds for my cousin's family to provide basic needs such as clothing, food and hygeine products as well as Christmas gifts for all three girls.
My mom and I currently have Amina and Zahara. They have shared with us the worry they have for their baby sister and mother as well as the utter disappointment in learning that they may possibly not receive a Christmas this year.
ANYTHING you can help with would mean the world to these girls. With my cousin Angelina and baby Angelina both in critical condition at the hospital, I've taken it upon myself to advocate for her children in hopes we can all come together to show the girls some Christmas spirit as well as starting the process of getting this family back on their feet.
With Christmas being 2 days away, we are in a time crunch. If you are able please donate ASAP. We are hoping we can go do some shopping the 23rd/24th.
If you'd like to donate in-kind donations such as clothing, toys, books, hygeine items or food please contact Claudia Reyes.
