CCMC Chemo Survival Kits
Donation protected
My name is Kyla Pokorny, I've been a patient at Connecticut Children's Medical Center for the last 5.5 years. Over the years, I've had a ton of people do anything and everything to make going through cancer easier for me including buying me things to make treatment easier and more enjoyable. I found that some of the things were way more necessary than others and along the way I've found other specific things that I think are super helpful while I'm still going through cancer. For the last 2 years, I've done my Christmas Fundraiser for the families in the clinic but this year I wanted to do something a little different (although Team Driving for a Cure from Suffield is still making the Christmas thing happen too). I've had a ton of people asking me what they can contribute to this year for the holiday season. This year as my "give back" project, I wanted to raise money for these Chemo/Radiation Survival Kits that I've come up with. I've attached a picture of my friend Kayla and I with her chemo survival kit, she was the first one I made one for! Since starting treatment, she has found the kit super helpful and the things inside have really come in handy for her. If you would like to donate in a different way, you can email me at [email redacted] and I have a document of some of the items in the kits that I can send to you. Thank you so much for the overwhelming support with the things I do for Connecticut Childrens, it wouldn't be possible without you guys! Paul from Vie for the Kids will be withdrawing the funds and using the money to assemble our first few hundred kits so every kid at CT Children’s who is going through chemo gets one.
